Bookbinding & Zines with Aoife Higgins
Bring an art project, poetry or prose to this workshop with Ludlow based book artist Aoife Higgins. Run over two sessions, in this workshop you will learn the basics of bookbinding at home, different techniques for folding, the tools required and how you can bring this into your practice. You'll also have the opportunity to produce work on the Riso that can then be folded into an easily replicated zine.
This is a two session course - each session runs for 3 hours.
13 September and 27 September - 10am-1pm
Adults and teens accompanied by an adult - each participant must book a space.

Aoife Higgins
Aoife Higgins is a visual artist based in Ludlow. She studied book arts at UAL: Camberwell and now works as a bookbinder during the day. She uses a combination of methods including collage, printmaking and photography to create zines as well as one-off artists books, boxes and objects inspired by human consciousness, the natural world, and the esoteric. Aoife is part of local art collective The Ludlow Peculiars. One of her pieces was used on the cover of the Rewilding anthology published by Crested Tit Collective, and she has recently had work included in the Folk Art exhibition put on by Artlandish in Hereford.
