Hundred House Hot Chocolate | 250g Tin
Provenance is incredibly important to our sister project team, Hundred House Coffee. Their characterful speciality coffee is ethically sourced from eco-conscious growers from around the globe and they wanted to extend that ethos to cacao with this single origin Ecuadorian hot chocolate.
The cacao used for their hot chocolate is grown at Farm of the Future in Cerecita Valley, Ecuador. The 640 hectare land produces high yielding cacao and focuses research resilient farming techniques, with pre- and post-harvest processing, with the aim to establish cocoa farming practices that are climate-smart and enhance sustainability.
The variety of cacao that makes up our hot chocolate is Nacional, a rare variety that makes up just 2% of cacao produced world wide – this is largely due to the crop being almost wiped out due to a massive epidemic in the 1920s. Grown only in Ecuador it is now a source of national pride for producers.
This is a beautifully balanced single origin hot chocolate, bursting with fruity flavour to keep those grey days away.
With no additives, preservatives or anything artificial it is just pure deliciousness.
Ingredients: Cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, soya lecithin. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
